Although it is technically a standard crunch, because the crunch occurs on the soft cushioning of the exercise ball, there are far fewer aches. You do need to purchase an exercise ball and the exercise is slightly less effective than the bicycle crunch and the captain’s chair, but it’s comfort level and easy is very high.
