During summer if you spend more time outdoors, it can lead to lot of problems from bug bites to sunburn. To overcome these problems just follow certain summer skin care tips. If you are out for shopping in the hot sun then bugs may irritate you a lot. Bugs are often attracted to products like suntan lotion, perfume, hairspray and deodorant. To overcome this problem, try avoiding these products or take a dose of Vitamin B. When it is excreted through perspiration, it gives off an odor that many bugs find offensive. If a bug still tries to bit you, use a poultice of meat tenderizer to relieve the itch. During summer, lips get cracked, peeled off and dont improve even with the help of lip balm. Use a lip protector with a protection factor of SPF 15 and apply it regularly. Do not apply lip glosses or petroleum jelly. People with dry skin must drink plenty of water, leafy vegetables and fruits which will help to moisturize your skin.

Ultra violet radiation (UVA) is very strong in early morning and afternoon. UVA can cause tanning and wrinkles. UVB rays can cause sunburn. Both UVA and UVB rays can cause suppression of the immune system. Our immune system helps protect against the development and spread of cancer. Apply Sunscreen lotion which blocks both UVA and UVB to all exposed skins.

Your body weight is 50 to 55% water. Drink six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day to keep well hydrated. 80% of the damage to the skin is done by the time you are 18 years old. Avoid going out between 10.00 a.m. and 4 p.m. and apply sunscreen lotion to children older than 6 months. Do apply sunscreen lotion after swimming or sports. Wear clothes that fully cover your body which can minimize sun exposure. While pale skin is the most likely to burn, darker skin can burn also if they stay in the sun too long. Use protection no matter what skin tone you have.

Do clean your face at regular intervals in a day with water. Pat dry your face instead of rubbing it with towel. Avoid caffeine and hard drinks. Drink lots of water. Take small but frequent meals and avoid protein rich diet. Use less Make up during summer and remove it at bedtime. How to Look After Dry Skin

If you suffer from dry skin you are probably always looking for ways in which you can improve the situation. There is a lot you can do to make your skin look and feel soft and fresh and the aim of this article is to give you some advice and tips on what to do.

If you have dry skin it is important not to over clean you face as this will strip away a lot of the moisture from you face. All this will do is make the situation worse and dry it out. It is a good idea to clean your face at most once a day and to do it in the evening so that you can give you skin a chance to repair over the night.

You should be very careful about the type of cleanser that you use and should look for one that is specifically for dry skin. It is a good idea to use one that is milky and will add moisture back into the skin. Stay away from the foamy cleansers that you wash off, these will strip moisture from your skin and make things worse.

It is very important to moisturise your skin regularly and you should use a think heavy product and apply it liberally over your face. Pay particular attention to the areas of your face that are extra, usually the cheeks and forehead. You should apply your moisturiser in the evening before you go to bed as well as in the morning before you apply your make up. This will help to lock in as much moisturiser as you possibly can.

When you apply your foundation try to use a hypoallergenic product that will be soft on your skin. It might also be a good idea to use an oil based product that will help to add lubrication to your skin and keep it as soft as possible during the day.

You should use an exfoliating scrub at least twice a week in order to remove the dead skin cells from your face. Try not to use a product that will be too harsh as they may have the opposite effect to the one you are trying to achieve. Look for products that are soft and gentle and have softening properties.

You should also consider a weekly face mask and you can make this yourself with avocado and olive oil. Adding oil to your skin on a regular basis will help to soften it up and reduce the dryness of your skin.

There are other things that you can do to improve the situation that are more general. It is important that you drink plenty of water and remain hydrated this will help to prevent your skin from drying out.

In order to keep your skin looking fresh and clean you should make sure you include plenty of fruit and vegetables in your diet. These will help to add the nutrients and vitamins into your body which in turn will help your body with repairing itself. If you find that you are still having a problem you can consider taking vitamin supplements in order to give your skin a helping hand.

If none of the above tips help you then consider consulting a professional who will be able to give you some extra help to improve the condition of your skin.
