The Causes of Skin Wrinkles

Filed under: Beauty, clothes, hair, makeup, trends — Admin @ 2:45 pm

As we age, changes occur naturally in the skin. Body cells divide more slowly, including the skin cells. The inner layers of the skin becoming thinner and the fat cells beneath the surface of the skin begin to decrease. The skin begins to lose its ability to retain moisture. In addition, the skin loses its elasticity. This is the ability of the skin to return to its original form. The loss of elasticity contributes to the sagging of the skin.

Aging is not the only cause of wrinkles. There are factors related to lifestyle that can contribute to wrinkles. This is sometimes referred to as premature aging of the skin. Smoking is a habit that can contribute to premature skin aging. Smoking causes the production of more free radicals. This accelerates the aging of the skin. Anti aging creams contain antioxidants that can help find the free radicals. These are most effective if you quit.

One of the most notorious of all the lifestyle causes of wrinkles is spending too much time in the sun. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun is said to be the cause of up to ninety percent of premature skin aging. The effects of sun exposure on the skin can be seen in people as young as in their twenties when you spend excessive amounts of time in the sun. Even a small amount of exposure can have a negative effect over time.

Ultraviolet radiation damages the collagen fibers in the skin. The damage of these fibers affect the elasticity of the skin. This causes the skin and results in skin that are unable to return to its original form. The result is sagging and wrinkles. In addition, excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation causes an excess production of free radicals, which contribute to wrinkling and skin aging.

Pollution can contribute to premature skin aging. Ozone in the air is the result of industrial pollution in our environment. Ozone is harmful to skin. Causing the loss of vitamin E. This antioxidant is important in the binding of free radicals that can damage the skin. Anti aging cream can help provide a barrier and protect the skin from the adverse effects of ozone and other pollutants.

There are many emotional effects that are common with wrinkles. Impacts of aging and self-esteem of older persons. The effects of aging can also have financial consequences. In our society, youth is an asset. Although there are laws against discrimination related to age, which still exists in our workplace. This can affect the careers and opportunities for advancement in the workplace.

In an effort to avoid the social stigma associated with aging, people spend billions of dollars in products for skin care and anti wrinkle creams. Anti aging creams can be effective in minimizing wrinkles and preventing new wrinkles. It is important to choose the best anti aging products for skin. Reading reviews of anti aging creams can help make the best decision and find the right products for your skin type.

Natural tips to have beautiful hair

Filed under: Beauty, clothes, hair, makeup, trends — Admin @ 5:27 pm

One of the most important aspects which contribute a lot to our beauty is the hair. Shiny, bouncy, healthy hair is the secret of beauty, however if you are intending to grow your hair and if you are trying to be out of damage then it is important that you follow some of the unconventional.

Consume vitamins

It is important to remember that the hair experts always make us believe that the normal speed with which eh hair grows is per month but many of the hair experts claim that the intake of certain vitamin supplements increases the rate at which our hair grows. The intake of the vitamin supplements has increased the rate at which the hair grows to almost inches per month. Some of the hair supplements which I would suggest you is that it is important to note that the entire market remains flooded with the vitamin bottles which are labeled as hair marked on them, but it is important top note that not all of them are built with the same standards, first I would suggest you the intake of a multivitamin tablet that encompasses the needs of your entire body, after this you can further concentrate on the needs of the hair.

Some of the recommended hair vitamins are B complex, biotin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, iron, zinc, flax seed oil, black currant seed oil, kelp and silica. Incase your hair is in very poor condition then it is important to note that you can go in for amino acids, which is considered to be one of the immediate damage repair system for the dull and weak hair. Further if your body is quite nutritious then same will the results produced by your hair.

Scalp massage

One of the instant tips that can make your hair stronger is the scalp massage, if you are massaging on your scalp even five minutes per day can make your hair stronger. It is important to understand that you can massage even while you are shampooing. A massage with oil is more preferable as this will drastically increase the strength of your hair. The massage stimulates the blood supply in your hair and it is important to note that the blood brings the essential nutrients in our follicles and further scalp massage is a great stress reducer. Less stress equals to stronger and beautiful hair. The right way for massage is been listed below: first do ensure that you have pads for your fingers as nails produce damaging results. Spread your fingers wide apart on the hair, start the massage from the base of your neck and move upto the hair line, massage using the little patterns of circles. You may feel a sensation of tingly that is a good mark of improving the blood circulation.

Tie your hair up

Many people wonder as to what is the use of having long and beautiful hair when we need to tie it up. But it is important to understand the fact the more you expose your hair to sunlight, the more they are prone to damage and environmental damage. Tying it up will ensure that your hair is secured and there is not much a concern to worry.

Design and simulation of a pneumatic, stored-energy, hybrid orthosis for gait restoration

Design and simulation of a pneumatic, stored-energy, hybrid orthosis for gait restoration

Loss of mobility due to lower limb paralysis is a common result of thoracic level spinal cord injury. Functional electrical stimulation (FES) can restore primitive gait in the vicinity of a wheelchair by using handicap scooters stimulation to generate muscle contractions. A new concept for FES-assisted gait is presented that combines electrical stimulation with an orthosis that contains a fluid power system to store and transfer energy during the gait cycle and medical scooters. The energy storage orthosis (ESO) can be driven through a complete gait cycle using only stimulation of the quadriceps muscles. The conceptual design of the ESO was completed and implemented in a dynamic simulation model and in a benchtop prototype for engineering measurements. No studies were conducted with human subjects. The results demonstrate the potential of the ESO concept for a feasible gait-assist system and the validity of the simulation model as a means for designing the system.

Ordbok

Hair Removal Options For Women

Filed under: Beauty, clothes, hair, makeup, trends — Admin @ 8:03 am

By Alex Weidmann

In modern society we’re led to believe that to achieve the ultimate level of sexiness you need barely any hair. So, if ridding ourselves of body hair is the objective, what’s the best way to do it?

Shaving is the most common method of them all. With a few simple strokes of the razor blade our hair is temporarily removed. Home waxing kits take a while but often return longer lasting Chemical hair removers such as Nair and Sally Hansen promise but rarely deliver the results they claim.

The needs of the individual will determine which method is best for you. The following is an outline of the available hair removal techniques.

Shaving

Price: Shaving is an incredibly cheap hair removal method. It can cost anything from $5 to $10 a month.

Time: On average shaving takes 5 to 10 minutes or less.

Longevity of Results: Shaven hair will usually grow back with 1 to 3 days. You’ll find this varies dramatically from one person to the next.

Risks: There aren’t really any risks associated with shaving aside from the occasional nick.

The Pros: It’s inexpensive, easy and there generally aren’t any risks.

The Cons: Shaven hair doesn’t stay short for long. It’s known to grow back very quickly.

Waxing

Price: Moderately inexpensive. A home waxing kit will cost anything from $10 up to $20.

Time: One of waxing’s major draw backs is the time needed. It can take hours! For best results you should split the body up into areas to work on throughout the week.

Longevity of Results: Waxed hair can take between 3 and 8 weeks to grow back.

Risks: Waxing doesn’t really carry risks. Care should be taken to ensure the wax isn’t too hot to burn the skin. Checking a small area for allergic reactions is also advisable.

The Pros: A pleasant alternative to shaving! Waxing prevents rough stubble until the hair grows back. The smooth silky feeling will ensure leaving your skin hairless and super sexy.

The Cons: It can take a long time to fully wax your body. Also, the wax can be hard to use properly and often fails to remove all the targeted hair. You’ll find yourself returning to the microwave frequently!

Hair Removal Lotion

Price: Usually between $5 and $10.

Time: Anywhere between 10 minutes and a full half hour.

Longevity of Results: Although I haven’t yet achieved satisfactory results with this method, those that do claim the hair can take slightly longer than shaven hair to grow back.

The Risks: Can cause all manner of problems, namely, allergic reactions, chemical burning and skin irritation. Read through and follow the instructions very closely.

The Pros: The usage of hair removal lotions minimizes the risk of nicks caused by shaving. They can also yield longer lasting results than those from shaving.

The Cons: Takes a lot longer than simple shaving and doesn’t always produce perfect results. As stated earlier it may also damage and irritate the skin, particularly around hair follicles.
